Yahoo Canada has launched a Canadian version of celebrity news and entertainment website OMG. The site, located at <http://ca.omg.yahoo.com>, includes photograph galleries, videos and commentary on "celebrity culture." The site contains content from Yahoo show business reporters and bloggers internationally. The site also includes a blog dedicated to Canadian celebrity news. "OMG from Yahoo has the latest news and photos, covering everything from Kate Middleton and the Kardashians to Ryan Reynolds and Justin Bieber," said Gina Cothey, head of Yahoo Media Network Canada. "We're rolling out the purple carpet for today's latest superstars and pop idols and providing Canadians with a front-row view of their favourite celebrities." Yahoo will promote the launch of the site with an at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto on Sept. 8., during which consumers can have their pictures taken on a purple carpet.
