The Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers has hired Torchia Communications of Toronto to develop a media relations campaign for its 2011 Grocery Innovations Canada trade show. This will be the third year the agency has handled this assignment, which will include editorial services, media liaison, press tours, and onsite media centre management over a period of three months. "We are thrilled to be working with the CFIG again this year on such a great assignment, an event that gets better and better each year," said agency president Jean-Claude Torchia. "There's much to look forward to at this annual grocery trade show; food innovations, samplings and renowned guest speakers." The Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers represents approximately 4,000 grocery retailers nationally. The trade show will take place from Oct. 24 to 25.
