GraceKennedy conducts Message in a Bottle contest

GraceKennedy of Jamaica has begun a contest promotion in support of its Grace Famous Island Soda brand. During the contest, consumers will find a message under the bottle caps of Grace Island Soda written in the Patois language of Jamaica. Consumers can visit <http://www.gracemessageinabottle.com> to find translations of the various messages. Visitors are also encourages to share their own sayings from the region. A judging panel will select 10 entries per month. One winner will receive soda for a month. Winning entries may also be used on future bottle caps. "We at Grace Island Soda would like to share with fellow Canadians our language through some of the colourful and sometimes puzzling, yet, timeless sayings from the islands in Patois," said Lucky Lankage, president of GraceKennedy Ontario. "We hope that some of these phrases and sayings will become popular in own daily usage in Canada. Like a bottle washed up on a sea shore, with a message tucked nicely inside, we invite you to open up your bottle of Island Soda and enjoy your gift in a message in your bottle."
