Ottawa group promotes Little Italy Festival

The Preston Street Business Improvement Area in Ottawa has begun a social media campaign promoting the Ottawa Little Italy Festival. The campaign, developed by OnlineMarketing711.com, makes use of a website at <http://www.olifest.com>, Facebook and a YouTube channel to distribute news about the festival. Signage and posters for the event include quick response codes to direct mobile users to online information. "We have noted a real shift in how our patrons get the information they need to plan their social lives," said Mario Giannetti, chairman of the organization. "We have set the goal to provide the information in any format they use." The festival will run from June 17 to 19.
