Association of Quebec Advertising Agencies plans promotional visit to New York

The Association of Quebec Advertising Agencies is planning to conduct what it is describing as a trade mission to New York to coincide with Advertising Week from Sept. 27 to Oct. 1. "The objective of this mission is to take advantage of Advertising Week, the most important advertising and media event in the United States, to spotlight Montreal, the creative hub, and encourage Quebec advertising agencies to develop business in New York," said Yanik Deschênes, president and general director of the association. "The AAPQ managed to integrate several Quebec and Montreal components into the event's programming, a first for our industry, which will contribute to positioning Montreal as a creative city." The association is inviting Quebec agencies to participate in the trip. Additional information can be found at <http://www.aapq.ca/missionnewyork>. The trip will also be supported by Quebec's Delegate General in New York as well as representatives from the Cirque du Soleil, Moment Factory, the City of Montreal, Tourisme Montréal, the Montreal Canadiens, Just for Laughs and other organizations.
