Audit Bureau of Circulations forms Canadian newspaper task force
By Adnews Staff
The Audit Bureau of Circulations has formed a new Canadian newspaper task force to study the evolution of Canadian newspapers and the channels available to advertisers. The task force will examine changes in frequency and publishing plans, hybrid and non-traditional targeted unique editions, electronic editions and the delivery of content via mobile devices. The task force will work to provide market-appropriate newspaper auditing services for buyers and publishers in all newspaper segments in Canada. The group will review ways to make ABC reporting more useful for advertisers and to create more intuitive rules and less expensive audits for publishers. The task force will also consider the requirements of newspapers with a circulation of 50,000 or less.
