Sirius Satellite Radio begins commuter contest in Toronto

Sirius Satellite Radio has begun a contest promotion that will give away 500 satellite radios along with three months of free service to drivers in the Greater Toronto Area. Drivers in that city are invited to submit stories of unusual, comical or extremely long commutes to a website at <http://www.sirius.ca/freeradio>. The contest was inspired by a recent survey from the Toronto Board of Trade that found that drivers in the GTA have an average commute time of 80 minutes; the longest commute of the 19 international cities studied. "With these new statistics about the GTA's commute times ranking above cities like New York, Los Angeles and London, we want to reward patient Toronto drivers and make their daily trips enjoyable," said Janet Langille, marketing vice-president at Sirius Canada. "We can't fix gridlock and congestion but we can make their drive a better experience with our 120 channels of sports, talk, comedy and music."
