Smak adds media planning unit

Vancouver-based Smak, an experiential marketing and public relations agency, has added a media planning department to its operations. The unit will be headed by Jeff Berry, who has joined the firm as a partner and director of media integration. He has previously worked at Media Experts and OMD. "The media landscape is continuing to evolve and our clients need us to stay ahead of the curve to help them maximize their bottom line and exceed their goals," said Alan Bedingfield, director of operations at Smak. "By adding Jeff and his media expertise we will be able to better serve our clients by coming up with the right mix of media, experiential and PR that will deliver a measurable return on engaging target audiences." Smak's client list includes Future Shop, Movember, Dairy Farmers of Canada, Metropolis at Metrotown, the Vancouver Whitecaps and BC Hydro.
