Gagnier joins HKDP

Daniel Gagnier will join Montreal-based HKDP as a special advisor on Jan. 11, 2010. HKDP is the Quebec public affairs division of Hill & Knowlton. Gagnier was most recently chief of staff for Quebec Premier Jean Charest. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Alcan as senior-vice-president of corporate and external affairs. Gagnier has also previously worked at the Canadian Department of External Affairs. He was Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade in Saskatchewan. In Ontario he was Deputy Minister of Energy, Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, special advisor to the cabinet, Chief of Staff of the Premier's Office, and advisor at the Privy Council Office.
