HERSHEY EXPANDS INTO HARD CANDY

U.S.-based Hershey Foods Corp. dipped into the hard candy market last month. The candy maker introduced its TasteTations brand of candy to the U.S. market. Next month, Hershey will launch a TV campaign for the candy. It was created by DDB Needham Worldwide of New York. It shows the candy inside a jukebox and is themed, "The first hard candy from Hershey." Hershey in Canada would not comment on any plans to bring the treat to this country. Canadian marketing director Susan Skene would only tell Adnews that the company is evaluating it.
