ON-LINE MAGAZINE FOCUSES ON BLACK COMMUNITY
By Adnews Staff
BlackWeb Publishing of Toronto will launch a monthly on-line magazine next week called BlackWeb. The publication focuses on promoting black culture, community and business. One feature of the magazine is The Griot's Journey. This page contains a map of Ontario. Each month BlackWeb will add a new unique story from a small Ontario town about the province's black history. The first story will be about a man who just finished walking the length of the underground railroad. The second will be about a woman in St. Catharines, Ont. who runs a church dedicated to the black community. The magazine also features articles on education and scholarship news, a community calender and commentary. The BlackWeb Awards will recognize and link Internet sites of special significance to Black people. BlackWeb will offer advertisers the opportunity to display their home pages through commercial web sites.
