Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto conducts awareness campaign
By Adnews Staff
The Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto began a public awareness campaign yesterday. The campaign is aimed primarily at Catholics who have moved away from the church. The initiative consists of radio advertising and a new website located at Wearecatholic.ca. The creative is intended to promote the diversity of the Catholic Church in the Toronto area and to provide information about the Catholic community. The campaign coincides with the church's Holy Week. "We know there are many Catholics who wish to return to the church but don't know where exactly to start," said Neil MacCarthy, communications director for the archdiocese. "Most importantly, we want these people to know they're welcome now and always. These resources give visitors a chance to dip their foot in the water before they consider diving back into full, active participation in the church."
