Schering-Plough begins Claritin campaign

Schering-Plough Consumer Healthcare has begun an advertising campaign for its Claritin brand of allergy products. The campaign is the first to be developed by Sharpe Blackmore Euro RSCG since winning the Claritin, Coppertone and Dr. Scholl's accounts earlier this year. The French and English television commercials continue to use the "Claritin Clear" message used in the brands previous advertising. The commercials are supported by out-of-home advertising. Media planning and buying was handled by Cossette Montreal. "While awareness of Claritin as a brand is universal, we wanted to improve the awareness of specific Claritin products like Claritin Extra Strength, Claritin Rapid Dissolve, and Claritin Kids Syrup," said Catherine Vennat, marketing director for allergy and over-the-counter products at Schering-Plough.
