NEW INTERNET SOFTWARE
By Adnews Staff
The Wollongong Group of Palo Alto, California is introducing new Internet access software next month that can put users on the information highway with a double-click of the mouse. Called Emissary, the software lets users surf the net, read news, send and receive mail and manage files - all from a single interface similar to Windows file manager. It automatically determines the appropriate file formats, protocols and applications. The software is targeted to seasoned users, surfers, potential users and corporations. As a trial offer, Wollongong is making the software available free on the Internet beginning June 21. In Canada, Wollongong is headquartered in Waterloo, Ont.
