DDB Canada launches DDB Echology
By Adnews Staff
DDB Canada has launched a new unit called DDB Echology that will specialize in sustainability communications. The unit is being operated in association with Junxion Strategy of Vancouver, a consulting firm the agency hired last year to develop its own sustainability program. DDB Echology is based in the agency's Vancouver office and is being run by managing directors Steve Kennedy and Peter ter Weeme of Junxion. The unit will provide its services nationally to DDB Canada and its various divisions. "DDB Echology helps clients do the right thing and say it the right way," said Frank Palmer, chairman and CEO of DDB Canada. "It's a powerful combination of Junxion Strategy's credibility and expertise in sustainability strategy and counsel, matched with DDB Canada's leadership in creativity and brand stewardship. Our aim is to become a sustainability leader in Canada's marketing communications industry. No other agency has yet established an accountable, integrated sustainability plan like ours in line with progressive companies outside our industry."
