By Adnews Staff
The Mississauga-based Ontario Flower Growers Co-operative has adopted the brand "Ontario Flowers" to help consumers identify flower products produced in that province. "The new brand communicates our commitment to deliver only the freshest quality flower products to our retail partners and consumers," said Jouke Sypkes, general manager of the co-operative. Products will be branded with a green and yellow logo in the form of a flower. The brand also includes the tagline, "Always in Season," and a new website located at <http://www.ontarioflowers.com>. To launch the brand, the organization has also begun a retail contest. Consumers who buy branded products at participating stores will be entered in a draw for one of a number of books on flowers. The Ontario Flower Growers Co-operative represents approximately 100 greenhouses and field flower growers in the province.
