Intrawest appoints chief marketing officer

Vancouver-based resort operator Intrawest has appointed Andy Wirth to the positions of executive vice-president of sales and marketing as well as chief marketing officer. He will be responsible for the company's global sales and marketing and will participate in brand development for its individual properties. Wirth was previously vice-president of sales and marketing at Colorado-based Steamboat Ski and Resort, which was acquired by Intrawest in March. Wirth will also continue to oversee sales and marketing at this property.
