Ontario promotes local food producers

The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has begun a new campaign intended to encourage residents of that province to buy food produced in Ontario. The television campaign began yesterday. The creative uses the tagline, “Goods things grow in Ontario,” which has been used in a number of previous marketing efforts. The ads are part of the $12.5 million program called  “Pick Ontario Freshness” that is also involves support for various local promotions intended to raise awareness of Ontario food. “Ontario's food producers grow, raise and produce high quality food products that are among the best in the world,” said Agriculture Minister Leona Dombrowsky. “I encourage all Ontarians, when grocery shopping or dining, to pick Ontario freshness.”
