Nova Scotia Health Promotion and Protection hires Extreme Group

Extreme Group of Halifax has been hired by Nova Scotia Health Promotion and Protection to develop a campaign intended to “re-normalize” breastfeeding in that province. “Nova Scotia lags behind the rest of the country in both breastfeeding initiation and duration rates,” said Michelle Amero, coordinator of the organization’s Healthy Eating Nova Scotia project. “We are very pleased to have to opportunity to work with Extreme on this exciting project. Their social marketing expertise will certainly help us achieve our goals.” The social marketing campaign will seek to create supportive communities for breastfeeding mothers and babies in Nova Scotia. According to NSHPP, breastfeeding is one of four key areas that will have the largest nutritional impact on residents of the province. Extreme Group has now begun the research phase of the assignment. No further details are currently available.
