Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia hires Extreme Group

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia has retained Extreme Group of Halifax to conduct a three-phase program intended to encourage walking as a way to promote health in that province. The initiative will be undertaken in association with the Ecology Action Centre and Nova Scotia Health Promotion and Protection. The first phase involves branding for the program, a launch event and the construction of a website. The goal of the program is to increase the percentage of Nova Scotians who walk at least 30 to 60 minutes most days of the week. "Through this initiative, we will begin creating a culture of walking for all Nova Scotians," said Brianne Lynch, provincial walking initiative coordinator at the foundation. "It's the most versatile physical activity and it's the best option for improving health and well-being. We're built to do it."
