Spotwave hires marketing vice-president

Ottawa-based Spotwave, a wireless technology company, has appointed David Whitten to the position of vice-president of marketing. He will lead the company's marketing, communications and product management activities. Whitten was most recently senior vice-president of corporate development and strategy at Intrado. Prior to that, he was the founder and CEO of Contellect. He was also senior vice-president and general manager of research at Gartner.
