DMB&B TO PROMOTE CARTOON PHONES

D'Arcy, Masius, Benton & Bowles in Toronto is wired in to Lenbrook Industries' Personal Communications Division. DMB&B will handle North American advertising for Lenbrook's new line of Brooktel designer telephones and call display products. The phones will be available by early fall. A Buzz Lightyear telephone, based on a character from the movie Toy Story, will also be introduced in the fall. Next year Lenbrook will expand its line of Disney character phones. Currently it makes the Mickey Mouse model. DMB&B won the account in a competition with several other agencies. The agency's co-general manager, Martin Kingston, told Adnews yesterday the budget hasn't been worked out yet, but he hopes it will be over $1 million. Lenbrook is an electronics and communications company in Pickering, Ont.
