Dr Clown readies new campaign

Non-profit organization Dr Clown is preparing to launch a second advertising campaign in association with its media sponsor Astral Media. The campaign will run across $1 million worth of television, radio and outdoor advertising. The creative was supplied by Bos, which won a contest sponsored by Astral to do so. The campaign will seek to promote the Dr Clown cause and raise funds for the organization. Dr Clown sends professional therapeutic clowns to visit patients in hospitals. "We were very impressed by the creativity and the quality of the submissions that the jury received for this particular contest," said Alain Bergeron, vice-president of brand management and corporate communications at Astral. "Not only did we have a good level of participation, we had extremely high-quality pieces submitted." The campaign will begin within the next several months. This is the second year of a three-year sponsorship agreement between Dr Clown and Astral Media. Last year's campaign was developed by Allard Johnson.
