Garnier signs Kreviazuk as spokesperson

Hair care product company Garnier of Montreal has signed singer Chantal Kreviazuk as the spokesperson for a new product called Nutrisse Cream. According to the company, using a Canadian spokesperson is intended to help Canadian women feel closer to the brand. "It was mandatory for Garnier Nutrisse Cream to associate itself with someone who, in her everyday life, shares and strives to meet the same values of simplicity and excellence as the brand," said Daniel Fafard, senior vice-president of Garnier's consumer product division. "Chantal showed us how she has kept her down-to-earth and genuine personality even with such an impressive list of personal and professional accomplishments as she has." Kreviazuk appears for the company in a magazine ad that is running this month. She will also be featured in a television commercial later in the month. Advertising for Garnier is handled by Publicis of Montreal.
