National Post promotes five

The National Post has appointed Stephen Meurice to the position of deputy editor. He joined the newspaper in 1998 as front page editor. More recently he was deputy managing editor and managing editor of news. Jonathan Harris has been appointed online director in addition to his current job as executive editor. Gayle Grin has been appointed managing editor of design and graphics. She will also have input on design issues for the entire CanWest chain. She joined the National Post's design group in 1998 from the Montreal Gazette, where she was the feature design director. Ian Karleff has been appointed deputy managing editor of the Financial Post. He was previously the associate editor of the Financial Post. Deborah Stokes has been appointed weekend editor of the Financial Post. She is a former travel editor at the paper.
