EXXADON USING PR AGENCY FOR FIRST TIME
By Adnews Staff
Exxadon Technology Corp. of Ajax, Ont. is using a public relations agency for the first time. The company hired Advance Planning & Communications of Toronto late last month without a review on the strength of work it had done for other clients, agency senior consultant Ann Smith told Adnews this week. Exxadon was doing its PR in-house but decided to hire an agency because the workload has become too heavy, said Exxadon president Tom Fairfull. The company uses microwave energy for two operations. It converts biomedical and medical hazardous waste reduction into environmentally friendly sterilized carbon residue. Exaddon also recycles tires into carbon black, steel and oil without producing any toxic waste. The company has operated a pilot tire facility in Toronto since September, 1994.
