Delta Hotels holds Check In to Win contest

Delta Hotels of Toronto will begin a contest called "Check In to Win" on Jan. 16. The company describes the promotion, aimed at frequent business travellers, as the largest contest is has ever held. Customers will receive a key card when they check in at a Delta Hotel. The card will carry a number which will open one of 14 "virtual suites" at the contest website located at <http://www.deltacheckintowin.com>. Each suite will contain a prize. Customers can gain extra cards by paying with an American Express card or by referring others to the contest. According to the company, the three-month promotion will offer approximately 70,000 prizes worth a total of two million dollars. Prizes will include discounts on future stays, free stays and free meals, as well as Aeroplan loyalty points. The three grand prizes are a "gourmet dining and entertainment experience," a bed and bathroom makeover and a week-long resort getaway. "Immediate rewards for our most loyal guests is the focus of our largest campaign yet," says Ken Lambert, the company's vice-president of sales and marketing. "We're looking to increase the share of stays during the first quarter by this lucrative business segment." The contest will be promoted with print advertising created by Pivot Design Communications of Toronto and on-line materials developed by ThinData of Toronto.
