Toronto-based Golflogic.ca, a website aimed at Canadian golfers, will drop paid subscriptions in favor of free memberships for the 2006 season. The site offers discounted green fees at participating golf courses. In exchange for membership, the company will collect demographic information from its registrants. "Increasing our subscriber base and collecting detailed information on each of them will allow us to better market to them and provide our advertisers extremely targeted advertising opportunities," said Chris Bannister, the company's director of membership services.
