Taxi withdraws from Worldwide Short Film Festival account

Taxi of Toronto has withdrawn as the pro bono ad agency of the Canadian Film Centre's Worldwide Short Film Festival. According to Taxi, the agency needs to focus its resources on recent new account wins. The firm has produced advertising creative for the annual festival for seven years. Barry Patterson, director of marketing and communications at the Canadian Film Centre, said the organization will announce a new agency in the new year. Taxi will continue to work on several design projects for the film centre, including its 2006 winter gala and its ICubanisimo auction.
