Timex promotes new Indiglo wristwatches

Timex Canada began an new national advertising campaign this week to promote its seven new colours of Indiglo wristwatch nightlights. The campaign, created by Ogilvy Canada of Toronto, consists of three television commercials in English and French that will run through the holiday season, plus in-store materials and an online contest at <http://www.timex.ca>. The winner of the contest will receive a Vespa scooter in any of the Indiglo colours: pink, orange, yellow, red, mauve, green, light blue or original blue. The company has also modified the styles of the watches. Janet Kestin, co-creative director at Ogilvy Canada, described the ads as "hip, cool, graphic, gorgeous to look at and listen to. The famous blue dot that launched the Indiglo nightlight now engenders an organic world of vibrant, coloured flowers and butterflies cleverly contained within each glowing Timex watch face."
