Office Max hires Alchemy

Digital display company Alchemy has been retained by U.S.-based retail chain Office Max to implement a system of in-store digital signage for advertising. Alchemy is a newly-formed company owned by St. Joseph Content, which is itself a division of Toronto-based St. Joseph Communications. "There is a tremendous opportunity to take marketing channels to a new level with in-store digital signage," said Lauren Moir, vice-president and divisional manager at Alchemy. "All indications point to explosive growth in this area as retailers and package goods companies are looking to capture a larger segment of the population and to directly communicate to their target demographic." The signs will display promotional messages consisting of graphics, text and video. Adflow Networks of Burlington, ON will handle the deployment and support of the technology.
