Molson Canada has discontinued its title sponsorship of the Molson Indy Montreal. According to the company, the decision was the result of an assessment of the brand's sponsorship activities and commercial agenda. "We continuously evaluate the ongoing competitiveness of all of our activities and we came to the conclusion that we should focus our investments on activities that are more representative of the Molson Dry brand and of its consumers' interests," said Richard Moisan, director of trade marketing and events for Molson in Quebec. Earlier this month, Molson transferred the race rights for the Molson Indy Toronto to a new organization called the Grand Prix Association of Toronto, although the brewer retained the title sponsorship of that event.
