Toronto-based Concerned Children's Advertisers has released a new public service announcement called "Tell Someone" aimed at victims of bullying. The ad, created in association with the Government of Canada's National Crime Prevention Strategy, will air nationally during prime children's television viewing hours. The creative encourages children who have experience bullying to change their situation with the help of an adult. The ad depicts a boy getting ready to go to school while a bully describes what he will experience when he gets there. When the boy tells his mother about being bullied, the other boy fades away. The ad was created by Round Table Advertising of Toronto. "The power in this creative is that it gives life to the sense of fear that a bullied child feels all day, everyday," said Sallah Cayer, a partner at Round Table. "Children who are bullied will recognize themselves in this PSA, and we hope that they will follow this boy's path in reaching out for adult help. For adults, we hope that this provides a window into the inner world of the bullied child, making them aware of how serious incidents of bullying can be."
