Coca-Cola holds air hockey tournament
By Adnews Staff
Coca-Cola conducted a special event in Toronto yesterday to promote the launch of a new product called Coca-Cola Zero, a calorie-free cola aimed at young adult males. The company hosted an air hockey tournament at Dundas Square in downtown Toronto involving former Maple Leafs Wendel Clark and Darryl Sittler, two professional air hockey players and various residents of the city. The initiative was intended to tie the product launch to the start of the approaching hockey season. Other marketing plans for the drink include out-of-home and television advertising, plus sampling programs conducted at NHL games and on university campuses nationally. No details concerning this campaign were available at press time.
