Globeandmail.com begins Join the Conversation promotion

Newspaper website Globeandmail.com is holding a contest to promote its new reader response program called "Join the Conversation." The initiative is intended to encourage readers to share their thoughts on the published stories with other readers of the site. The contest will feature prizes suggested by recent headlines, including a gay wedding, a trip to Hans Island, private health care services, softwood lumber, sensitivity training and other prizes to be announced. Each prize is worth approximately $10,000. The contest will run until Oct. 29. Advertising is being handled by Naked Creative. Media buying is being done by Gaggi Media. Public relations are being provided by Environics Communications. The Globe and Mail is a division of Bell Globemedia.
