Public relations agency High Road Communications of Toronto has signed a sponsorship agreement with Canadian professional video game player Nelson Triana. The sponsorship will enable Triana to compete in various Major League Gaming competitions in the US in preparation for the 2005 World Cyber Games tournament in Singapore, where Triana plans to participate in the Halo 2 competition. "Video games are a major part of today's entertainment culture rivaling the movie and music business, so it is exciting to see the increase in the number of people who make money playing video games," said Justin Creally, senior vice president at High Road. "We think Nelson has the potential to become a world-class champion for Canada as he competes against the best video game players from around the globe."
