Website roundup

Website Canoe.ca introduced a redesign this week which allows visitors to choose one of two homepages called "Canoe Classic" and "Canoe Snap." The Classic design places the day's breaking news in the primary position, with larger photographs, easier navigation, and expanded content from Sun Media newspapers. The Snap design is intended to be more modern and colourful. It includes more stories on fashion, relationships, beauty, music, movies and celebrity gossip. "The Canoe experience that our readers have come to rely on is still there, better than ever," said Canoe general manager Jose Leal. "And we've listened to our audience. They've told us that they want a Canoe that speaks directly to them, so we're going to give you the option to experience the site in a variety of ways. Of course, we hope to please our advertisers as well, with new and compelling ad positions." The site plans to add additional homepages later this year. Canoe, a division of Quebecor Media, gets approximately 6 million unique Canadian visitors monthly.
