Izakaya breaks new campaign

Recently-launched Toronto-based Japanese noodle bar Izakaya has begun a multi-media advertising campaign in that city, produced by Holmes & Lee of Toronto. The agency handles brand identity and web work for the restaurant. The new campaign consists of transit shelter and print advertising, along with direct marketing and supporting events. The four creative executions depict situations requiring expert skill with a pair of chopsticks: opening a doorknob, plucking a petal from a flower, opening a soda can and undoing a bra. The ads use the headline "Practice." Ascari Restaurant Group of Toronto, the developer of Izakaya, plans to expand the concept into other major North American markets.
