Pepsi begins Get Spotted promotion

Pepsi-Cola Canada of Mississauga began a new national promotion yesterday called "Get Spotted." During the initiative, promotional workers will visit a number of locations and events. Consumers spotted drinking Pepsi by these workers will receive prizes, including iPod Shuffle MP3 players, CDs from musical group Three Days Grace and specialty channel YTV, Pepsi-branded clothing, plus Doritos and Pepsi products. These consumers will also receive Pepsi Cards that will provide discounts at 7-Eleven, KFC, House of Blues, Music World, New York Fries, Pizza Pizza, Couche-Tard, Taco Time, Captain Sub, Greco, the Hockey Hall of Fame and Needs. Other prizes include tickets to a Three Days Grace concert in Toronto, and a VIP package that includes concert tickets and dinner with the band. The "Get Spotted" program is taking place in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and Halifax. It is being supported with national television advertising, radio advertising, radio promotions and public relations. Advertising for Pepsi is done by BBDO Canada.
