Draft, Weber Shandwick to merge Quebec PR groups
By Adnews Staff
On June 1, Weber Shandwick and Draft will merge their public relations groups in Quebec. The merged operation will use the name Weber Shandwick, but will be housed within the Draft office space in Montreal. Both agencies are units of the Interpublic Group of Companies. Michel Ouellet, currently vice-president of Draft Quebec Public Relations, will become executive vice-president and general manager of the new entity. Weber Shandwick vice-presidents Manon Gauthier and Lise Perras will also take on senior positions within the new unit. "Having Weber Shandwick and Draft under the same roof will allow each to expand the services offered to current and new clients, even though each entity will retain their own expertise and identity," said Pierre Savard, president of Draft Montreal.
