Award show roundup

The Toronto-based National Advertising Benevolent Society has given its Paul Mulvihill/NABS Humanitarian Award for 2005 to Graham Barker. Barker is president of The Phoenix Group in Regina. The annual award recognizes people from the advertising and media industries who have "given of themselves to better the lives of others" through work with charities or community services in Canada. According to the organization, it was Barker's volunteer contributions over a period of 20 years that brought him this award. Barker will divide the $5,000 prize between two charities: Camp Circle O'Friends and the Hospitals of Regina Foundation.
