Zoom Media introduces new services

Montreal-based out-of-home ad company Zoom Media announced three new services yesterday. The first is a new website called "Proof of Performance," which will debut in June. This billboard management system will allow advertisers and ad agencies to track ongoing campaigns over the Internet. The system was developed by software company Ayuda Media Management Systems. "For the first time ever, the advertising world can obtain a real-time affidavit as the campaign is running and generate an unmatched completion report including photos and maps," said Zoom Media president Mario Cecchini. Zoom also introduced a reach and frequency model called "Lifestyle RF" which is, according to the company, the first such model specific to a multi-network indoor advertising company in North America. The program, developed by IMS Media Solutions, is intended to provide traditional metrics for Zoom's media. The model uses circulation data from COMB and behavioural information from PMB to provide demographic breakdowns for 10 Canadian markets. The program will go into use in September. "The reach and frequency program will bring the entire indoor industry to a higher level of performance. We will now be part of media decisions along with more traditional media," said Cecchini. The company has also launched a new service called "Zoom Mobile" that will allow consumers to use SMS text messages to interact with ads running on its display faces. Advertisers will be able to access an online report on ongoing campaigns, including geographic breakdowns, opt-in consumers to date and incentive distribution. The service was developed by Jambo Mobile. Zoom Media operates 26,500 indoor billboards in the washrooms of 3,900 restaurants, bars, campuses, medical establishments and golf courses in Canada.
