By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Canon Inc. has introduced what it says is the world's first consumer camcorder that can be used to edit video footage. Called the ES900, the new video camera came on the North American market last week. It can be used for editing when it is hooked up to a VCR. Added goodies on the ES900 are an optical 20X zoom lens, programmed auto exposure, a color viewfinder and stereo sound. Canadian advertising for the camera, done by Lackey Communications of Toronto, will begin at the end of May.
