I2I Advertising to promote World Junior Championship hockey tournament

I2I Advertising & Marketing of Vancouver has been appointed agency of record for the 2006 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship. The agency will begin by marketing the event in Kelowna and Kamloops, BC in order to establish a ticket base. "The print and radio campaigns recognize the great hockey traditions and passion for hockey in these two towns," said agency partner Stuart Ince, "The folks in Kamloops and Kelowna need to know they were chosen as sites because of the great community support for their teams." I2I will then work on developing the brand in the time before the tournament. The World Junior Championship will take place in Vancouver, Kelowna and Kamloops from Dec. 26, 2005 to Jan. 5, 2006.
