ABORIGINAL BEVERAGE GROWS
By Adnews Staff
After just four months in business, Aboriginal Beverage Company of Winnipeg is expanding across Canada, into the U.S. and overseas. The company markets canned cola, grape, orange and lemon-lime pop, made by Toronto-based Cott Beverages. Five new flavors are also being added - diet cola, root beer, cream soda, tonic water and ginger ale. In August it will sell two-litre and 600-millilitre bottles. The pop originally went on sale in Western Canadian convenience stores, and will soon be in grocery stores. In July it will roll out across Canada, as well as the U.S., Germany, The Czech Republic, Albania, Russia and Macedonia. Advertising for the products will begin in August using TV, radio and print, created in-house. Aboriginal is planning on expanding its product line in the future to include snack foods.
