Traction Creative Communications of Vancouver has created a new campaign for Burnaby shopping centre Metropolis at Metrotown. The campaign, called "Shopping City," consists of print, radio, billboard, transit shelter and SkyTrain advertising, plus television closed captioning sponsorships and a direct mail piece to 127,000 households. It will break this week in the Vancouver area. The creative shows mannequins traveling to the shopping centre in various ways. "We chose the ultimate retail icon, the store mannequin, as a spokesperson to deliver the message that if the mannequins are rushing to Shopping City it must be the ultimate shopping experience," said agency president Larry Donen. "We are confident it will entice people to visit the new Metropolis at Metrotown and more importantly, drive sales." Traction has also constructed a new website for the mall at <http://www.metropolisatmetrotown.com>. This is Traction's third campaign for Metropolis at Metrotown.
