Toronto-based website Canoe.ca is has updated its logo as part of a larger redesign effort. The nine-year-old umbrella site, owned by Quebecor Media, comprises Slam Sports, Jam Showbiz, CNews, Canoe Money, Autonet, Lifewise, Home and Garden, Canoe Travel, CHealth, Flirt and Jobboom, along with online versions of Sun Media newspapers the Toronto Sun, Calgary Sun, Edmonton Sun, Winnipeg Sun, Ottawa Sun and the London Free Press. These newspaper sites will be redesigned over several months as part of a strategy to improve resource sharing, cross-promotional opportunities and the joint marketing of advertising inventory. Similar upgrades are also planned for the French-language network of sites at Canoe.qc.ca. According to the company, Canoe attracts approximately six million unique Canadian visitors each month.
