Hudson's Bay Company signs Olympic sponsorship deal

Hudson's Bay Company of Toronto has signed an eight-year sponsorship agreement with the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The company will be the official clothing and luggage supplier to the Canadian Olympic Teams for the 2006 winter games and the 2008, 2010 and 2012 games. HBC will also be the teams' official department store and general merchandise retailer in Canada until 2012 and the official clothing supplier to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games volunteers. The company will also develop exclusive Olympic merchandise which it will sell in official Olympic stores built into The Bay, Zellers, Home Outfitters, Designer Depot and Fields locations nationally. The agreement is worth approximately $100 million.
