P&G releases Ashanti ad for Herbal Essences

Procter & Gamble has begun a new campaign in the US and Canada for the Herbal Essences shampoo brand called "Rock your Senses." The effort includes a 30-second television commercial featuring recording artist Ashanti, who recently became a spokesperson for the brand. The ad, created by the Kaplan Thaler Group of New York, broke in both countries last month. Other ads in the campaign will also depict musicians singing about the product. In Canada the ad is airing on CTV and MuchMusic. Herbal Essences will also sponsor the MuchMusic Video Awards and a new CTV program called "Instant Star." The campaign will run until end of June. Public and media relations are being handled by Fleishman-Hillard.
