Pfizer begins overactive bladder campaign
By Adnews Staff
Pharmaceutical company Pfizer Canada has begun a television campaign to promote Detrol LA, which counters the effects of an overactive bladder. The company defines this condition as a need to urinate more than eight times a day. This is Pfizer's first campaign on the subject. It consists of a one-minute ad, created by Taxi Advertising, that depicts a series of women in situations in which they are unable to get to a restroom. "When we talked to women who suffer from OAB, we discovered that signs play a huge role in their lives and can often be the cause of quiet desperation, so this became the narrative and creative inspiration for the campaign," said Pfizer spokesperson Sabrina Tremblay. The national campaign began during the last week of January. The commercial is being supported by a toll-free telephone number and a website at overactivebladder.ca, both of which offer more information.
